She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with extended study in perinatal mental health/ postpartum support, life transitions, chronic illness, neuroscience-based gentle parenting strategies, as well as spirituality and faith-based practices.

Abby specializes in stress management and anxiety related issues, relationships, struggles with interpersonal communication, & job and career confusion. Abby utilizes an integrative or multidimensional approach to therapy, meaning that she relies on a selective range of evidence-based treatment methods including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) strategies. She then thoughtfully pairs these methods with compassion and empathy to create a foundation for positive growth and change.

Abby received her Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University, followed by her Master of Arts from Argosy University in Denver, Colorado. Following her time at school in Denver, she moved to Aspen and received additional training, education, and experience working in crisis intervention & counseling, as well as community outreach & education to reduce the stigma of mental health. Abby also worked within her church to provide faith-based counseling for those with a desire to explore spirituality and faith within their struggle.

Abby's main priority is to provide an atmosphere of peace and non-judgment, and to truly understand her clients needs and desires. It is her heartfelt determination to provide the highest level of care, in a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is a great honor and privilege to Abby that her clients share with her their stories and their lives.

    All are welcome here.

  • Aspen Leaf

    Rooted in Connection

An Aspen Grove is a symbol of both sustainability and interconnectedness. The extraordinary root system is unique in the fact that the entire grove stems from the original root and is only as strong as it's individual trees.

Aspens have an ability to continue growth even through the winter months, giving them another symbolic aspect pertaining to nourishing the soul through adverse conditions.

Aspen Leaf Counseling welcomes you to focus on your individual needs, which will benefit your own "grove."
